Emburse Analytics User Types And Roles

Emburse Analytics User Types And Roles

Understand how roles, user types, and subscription level determine what users can do in Emburse Analytics. This article explains the available roles and user types, and how to assign administrator permissions and Creator or Viewer access.

For instructions on managing licenses and changing user types, see User management admin screen.

User Types and Roles

Roles determine administrative access, and user types determine what users can view or create.

Roles

Roles determine whether a user can manage licenses and users.

  • Administrator: Administrators can access the User management admin screen in Emburse Analytics. At least one user must be assigned as an Emburse Analytics Administrator. See Assign Administrator Role Permissions for details.
  • Non-Administrator: Standard users of Emburse Analytics with no additional administrative privileges.

A user who is an administrator in another Emburse product is not always the same person who is assigned the Administrator role in Emburse Analytics.

User Types

User types determine whether a user can view content only or also create and manage content.

  • Viewer: Default user type for Emburse Analytics users. Viewers can view existing reports and dashboards.
  • Creator: Creators can build custom reports using company data and organize reports into folders for Viewers to access.
