Creator Quick-Start Guide

Use this quick-start guide if you have the Creator user type in Emburse Analytics. Creators can copy, edit, schedule, and share reports and dashboards.

For navigation and standard Viewer workflows available to all users, see the Emburse Analytics Quick-Start Guide. For Viewer and Creator roles, see Emburse Analytics User Types And Roles.

To share content with others, copy or save reports and dashboards to a folder your organization can access, such as your organizational folder. For folder access details, see Folder Contents and Access .

Explore from Here

Explore from Here displays an existing report or dashboard tile in explore mode so you can adjust fields, filters, and layout for ad-hoc analysis without changing the source.

Explore from Here does not change the original report or dashboard. To keep your changes, save the explore. If you leave without saving, your changes are not retained.

Explore from Here vs. Copy

Use each option for a different outcome:

  • Explore from Here: Choose this for temporary or ad-hoc analysis when you want to investigate data without creating a lasting copy first. You can save later if you want to keep the results, including saving just one tile from a dashboard.

  • Copy: Choose this when you need a persistent custom version of a standard report or dashboard that you will edit, schedule, or share over time. A copy does not receive later updates made to the original.

Use Explore from Here for Reports

  1. Open a report (standard or custom).

  2. Select the Gear (Explore Actions), then select Explore from Here.

  3. Gear menu on a report with Explore from Here selected
